The deliberations, ramblings, ponderings and sometimes humorous accounts of an addicted Digi scrapper and mother.

Name: Sue Jones
Location: Australia

I am a mother, a partner, a scrapper, a designer, a taxi driver, a spell checker etc etc and apparently life 'began' for me on my birthday two years ago. *edited to add*: It has been brought to my attention that some people don't understand what I mean by 'Life began for me last year'. It is just a polite way of telling you how old I really am as there is a saying here in Australia that "Life Begins at 40".

Every day the sun comes up

That's one thing that I've been told over and over again. Of course when you feel like your world is falling apart then that's not much consolation but it's true. The sun does come up every day - we may not always see the sun but it's still there.
And with those words of wisdom I shall continue my update from the past month.
I know that I state every month that I shall be a better blogger but I guess I'm gonna have to give up on that one. Too much life seems to get in the way.

My last post had me feeling really down and sorry for myself. It did not get much better over the following weeks - hence it was probably wise that I did not blog.
Work became worse and my hours were reduced until I was actually earning more through my design sales than I was working in the outside world. Go figure!
So thankyou to those of you who have been supporting me with your sales.
So... onto the good stuff from the past month!
* I finished my course! I am now a qualified personal trainer and I am now registered with my state body. That is so cool.
* I quit my job. Less stress = happier me. Of course it also means I don't have much of an income for the moment but I'm happier within myself. I can see a greater hand than mine in a lot of what is happening in my life right now, so I'm just going along for the ride.
* My son graduated from Grade 12 (pictures to follow). He had a great night. Didn't have a date for the formal but went with 3 of his mates. They had a great time. The mum of one of his friends organised a cool car for them to make their arrival in. It looked awesome.
* I have come on as a designer at Blue Bazaar. It's a great aussie paper scrapping site that is venturing into digital. I'm really excited. I've been around the scrapping world long enough to remember when BB actually launched as an online store so I'm really proud to be involved. I am also in the company of some wonderful designers including Nancy Comelab, Kim Hill and Amy Teets!
* My daugher (mum-to-be) is now a mum! At 9.05pm last Friday evening she presented me with my first grandchild. A gorgeous little girl called Ava Rose who weighed in at a very healthy 8lb 9oz. Mum and bub are doing great. Daddy is as proud as punch. Grandparents and grandparents are just over the moon.
* Miss Five turned six. So henceforth she shall be forever known (well for the next 12 months at least) as Miss Six. :p
* I had a job interview yesterday as a Disability support worker. I should hear tomorrow. I'm not worried. If it is gonna happen then it will all work out.
* Mr "I've left school so I can take care of myself - but what's for dinner mum"? has been offered a managerial position at Maccas. hmmmm let's see if he can study this time.

Okay... photos
